Sponge Hammer Games

Magdi is one of our talented lead artists. She is responsible for making sure that the art style of the app is consistent. She likes to take long walks in nature with her children. She does needle felting in her free time and she loves to paint.

If you could learn anything, what would that be?

Anything? I would love to be able to fly like birds. I would love to lay on the wind, just to let it carry me away. Everything is just more beautiful from above.
I’d love to fly.

What do you like most working for Sponge Hammer Games?

It’s a tricky question because I like everything. I think at the top of my list is to work with the team. It works well, we know everything about the others’ tasks, and we help each other as much as possible. I love the creative parts, creating all the art, brainstorming over a subject, or figuring out the production steps. It’s very inspiring!

What is the most important role of a lead artist?

Well, first of all, to make sure that the end result is the best we can create. And everything else that comes with this. Communication within the team, smooth production and to coordinate everything. It is very important to stick to the art style we have created because of the relaxing and calming aspect.

Say something surprising about yourself!

I think I can say two things. One of them is I dream a lot during the nights. When I say a lot, it means 9 times out of ten I have a vivid dream.
The other thing I can say is once I set my grand piano on fire. I forgot to put a protector under the candle. I managed to put it off at the end, but it wasn’t easy.

If you could live anywhere, where would that be?

I think it will be close to the sea, with crystal clear water. I don’t have any particular place in my mind, but I think it would be somewhere close to a beach. Or close to a lake. And a forest. In the mountains.
I think the place I would live is not existing. I can imagine a small house near the lake in the mountains with forests.

With ducks.
