Our Games

In our apps (including but not limited to “Flatstone Grove”) we may collect device and activity information that may be used to personally identify you.  We do this for legitimate business purposes. We collect this information so we can analyse and improve the quality of the product, understand how users interact with the product and to provide a better experience to you. We use Unity Analytics to perform such data processing. All data is encrypted in transit over SSL (HTTPS), you can request your data to be deleted. We provide functionality in our apps that allows you to opt-out from such data processing. 

In Flatstone Grove on most platforms we collect, store and process the following information, for these purposes We nominate ourselves as the data controller. For iOS devices specifics please review each section below.

User Ids.
A randomly generated installation ID (or developer-generated ID) is used to identify the player. Needed for the application to function. On iOS devices the app does not collect this information.
Purpose: App functionality 

Purchase history.
The IAP plugin forwards transaction events for users to be able to analyse their transactions. Needed for the application to function and for us to know you’ve purchased the app. On iOS devices the app does not forward transaction events.

Approximate location.
The analytics system uses this to determine the required privacy settings and compliance settings for the user’s region. On iOS devices the app does not collect this information.

Crash logs, Diagnostics, Other app performance data.
Should the application crash on a device we collect information about such events. It contains details the device’s make and model, the code call-stack, operating system id and version identifiers, and the environment and exact code location point the crash happened in. We use this information so our engineers can identify the cause and fix any issues. We retain the crash information for the duration of the fix and the subsequent app update. On iOS devices the app does not collect this information.

We collect various metrics, user interaction points so we understand how our players interact with the application. This information enables us to fine-tune the application and make sure we provide a meaningful and fun experience to all of our players.  On iOS devices the app does not collect this information.

Our Websites

There are various types of personal data that may be collected from you when you visit our website. 

We collect your name and email address when you sign up for our newsletters by submitting the relevant form on our website,  or you contact us with a query. We keep this information in our systems (email, CRM) for legitimate business purposes, so we can provide you with information (such as periodically sending you our newsletter) or provide a response to your query or request as part of our normal business activities.

When accessing the website, we ask you to consent to the use of cookies. Some are optional. Not accepting them may mean certain functionality of the website will not be available to you. Should you give your consent our website may store cookies on your computer which may be used to identify you. We do this for legitimate business purposes. This information allows us to better understand how our website is used and allows us to provide a better experience to you. Articles on this site may include embedded content, e.g. videos, images, articles, etc… Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content in the same way as if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

We use Google Analytics, Google’s traffic analytics tool to know more about: Who visits our website,  How the website is used,  What is popular on the website,  Whether visitors returned to the website. Google uses 1st party cookies, which you can opt out from using our Cookie Declaration functionality presented to you when you visit our websites, advertising identifiers, application identifiers and ip addresses to provide this service. How long do we keep your data

For contact requests and newsletter sign up your data is held indefinitely or until you request us to remove it from our systems by emailing us at dpo@spongehammergames.com. Following data removal we will keep your removal request on file indefinitely for legitimate business reasons.

Cookies (this includes the ones we use, third party and google analytics) are stored on your computer so you can remove them using your web browser. You can modify your cookies choices by accessing the Update Cookie Consent option available on all pages of our websites.

In-game analytics – We use Unity services. Your data is stored in their systems for as long as it is needed for processing. Unity’s privacy policy provides clarification on this https://unity3d.com/legal/privacy-policy 

 

Your rights

When it comes to your personal data you are in full control. You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you by contacting us . You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for legitimate business , legal, or security reasons.

Where do we store your data?

Visitor comments, form submissions may be checked through an automated spam detection service.  We also use reCAPTCHA from Google (see Google’s privacy policy here https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en-US).
